Frequently Asked Questions

Q. How do I hire The Warshawsky Law Firm to represent me in a case?

If you are interested in retaining our law firm, please contact us to schedule an initial telephone consultation. The focus of the initial telephone consultation is to understand the nature of your legal issue, your reasons for wanting to hire an attorney, your legal objectives, and your potential budget. If your case is something we may be able to assist you with, the next step will be further consultations to examine your case in more detail, to review relevant evidence (documents, emails, photographs, video/audio tapes, etc.), and to go over the proposed terms of representation. These preliminary conversations are strictly confidential. If we decide to work together on a case, this will be memorialized in a written engagement letter. The Warshawsky Law Firm is not your attorney until a written engagement letter is executed by the parties.

Q. How much do you charge for your services?

The rules of professional conduct prohibit lawyers from charging excessive fees. At The Warshawsky Law Firm, we offer flexible billing options tailored to each case, including hourly rates, flat fees, contingency fees, and mixed plans. The payment structure for each engagement depends on the nature and complexity of the case, the anticipated time and manpower needed for the case, the anticipated costs for the case, and the potential value of the case. Our hourly rates are very competitive for attorneys with our qualifications and experience. Discrete legal matters frequently can be handled for a reasonable flat fee. Many of our plaintiff cases are handled on a contingency or partial contingency basis. Our contingency percentages are lower than many other lawyers charge.

Q. Why should I hire your law firm instead of another law firm?

We always encourage prospective clients to confer with two or three different attorneys before deciding which law firm to hire. We want our clients to be confident that they made the right choice in retaining us for their cases. Likewise, we are confident that we compare favorably to other attorneys in our practice areas. The number one reason for hiring The Warshawsky Law Firm is the high-quality legal representation we provide in every one of our cases. Having a knowledgeable, experienced, dedicated attorney is vital to helping clients achieve their goals. The second reason for hiring us is our reasonable fee structure. Both our hourly rates and our contingency percentages are lower than many other lawyers charge. Our priority is not to “get rich” off our clients, but to provide excellent legal representation for a fair price. The last reason to hire us is the personalized service we provide to every client. We are responsive to client questions and concerns, we involve clients in every phase of a case, and we never bully clients to make decisions (e.g., whether or not to settle a case) they do not want to make. Please review our testimonials from clients who have been very satisfied with our legal representation.  Prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome.
